Journey to the West: Starting with Bodhi Patriarch as My Master

During the Western Zhou era, Jiang Yuan experienced a great dream, as if he had lived another life. When he awoke, he realized: the flowers were not flowers, the mist was not mist, and he was no longer himself.

At the age of four, Jiang Yuan decided to seek the Dao and pursue immortality. Yet, seeing that both of his parents were still alive, he hid this desire deep in his heart, vowing to serve his parents for a lifetime before seeking the Dao.

At sixteen, when his parents passed away, he resolutely dismissed the servants, burned down his ancestral home, and set out on a journey to seek the Dao.

At nineteen, he found a Daoist master but was unable to become a disciple despite his persistence.

At twenty-nine, his efforts finally bore fruit, and he successfully apprenticed himself to the Daoist.
