The Dragon’s Pearl

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, the world lay in ruins. Darkness shrouded the world and shadows coveted the warmth of living creatures. Four dragons who each represented the four elements respectively grew from the darkness into living creatures. At first, the dragons were puppets for the shadows to control. But as time went on, the dragons began to…feel. They became alive–-truly. The dragons turned on their dark creator and drove out all the darkness. The four dragons then ruled for thousands of years to come, and became known as the Venerable Dragons.

Until, they fell. The dragons fell from the sky, their great crowns broken and shattered, their life force destroyed. By what? No one knows. But the descendants of the dragons lived on.

Hundreds of thousands of years later, four teens, each of them an outsider, met by chance and discovered a dark secret. One of their most trusted rulers was controlled by something…something dark and ancient. Each of the outsiders had something in common. Dragon blood ran through their veins.

But all those years ago, none of the dragons had known that one little shadow remained in the world…and it was hungry.
