The Phantom Thief Steals the Dawn

“The Phantom Thief Astar has appeared!”

Astar is a phantom thief who steals items with special abilities known as “Ashtartes,” the empire’s treasures blessed by gods. He also steals various goods from the nobility and gives them to the common people, earning him an illustrious reputation. One day, while swiping an Ashtarte, he encounters a suspicious man named Aeon.

Aeon: “As expected, this one’s indeed a fake. If so, where’s the real one?”

Astar: “If the Ashtarte approves of me, then the original must be where I am.”

Discovering a man at the scene, Astar burns sleeping incense to cover his trail. Although he manages to flee safely, Astar can’t help but be curious about Aeon’s identity – a mysterious man whom the crown prince recognizes and the nobles honour.

Aeon: “… My name is Aeon Worth.”

Astar: “A pleasure to meet you, Monsieur Worth. I’m Chloe Evanchester.”

Astar realizes that Aeon, whom he met by chance, knows about the treasure he’s been chasing, called “Dawn” – Astar’s ultimate goal. He then goes undercover as Aeon’s physician.
